2023 "Room for Conversation"
“Room for Conversation” is a blend of older Carignane and younger Pinot from Hawkeye Ranch. The Pinot was fermented semi carbonic in a Flextank egg, and the Carginane was destemmed. The two wines sat separate in barrel for just over a year before being blended and bottled.
The name of the wine is about a theme that’s come up for me often in my own life. That is, making room for conversation. It’s often easy to forget to chat with people about the things you need to chat about. Sure casual conversation is fine, but making room for those important things can be such a game changer. Often a bottle of wine is a great way to break ground with these conversations.
